Fiberglass pipes are used in marine aquaculture
In the field of marine aquaculture, facilities such as cage frames, aquaculture rafts, and support rods are constantly immersed in seawater, facing multiple challenges including seawater corrosion, wave impact, and marine organism attachment. Traditional materials such as steel are prone to rust, bamboo and wood are prone to rot, and ordinary plastics lack sufficient strength. However, glass fiber reinforced composite pipes (fiberglass pipes/FRP pipes), with their unique combination of properties, are becoming the core material for upgrading and replacing marine aquaculture facilities.
